While using Shadow, you may notice that the image quality stream looks blurry or pixelated. Poor image quality may not be related to the settings within your Shadow, such as in-game graphics and frames per second (FPS), as Shadow's video stream depends on the network, Shadow launcher settings, and graphics card drivers.
UPDATE LOCAL GRAPHICS DRIVERS
Let's make sure the graphics card driver on your local computer is up to date, first. Your graphics card manufacturer may periodically release updates to improve your device's image and streaming quality. Updating your graphics card varies depending on your card's brand. Refer to your graphics card brand below for instructions.
Use the Intel Driver & Support Assistant to update your drivers. Your computer's manufacturer may also provide a tool for driver updates as well. Some popular manufacturers, like Dell and HP, have their own updating tool Dell or HP.
If you have an NVIDIA GeForce graphics card, use GeForce Experience to update your drivers.
For other NVIDIA graphics cards, search for NVIDIA drivers to download and install them manually.
If you have an AMD Radeon graphics card, use AMD's auto-detect tool. Scroll to the bottom until you see Auto-Detect and Install Radeon Graphics Drivers for Windows, then click Download Now.
For other AMD graphics card, search for AMD drivers to download and install them manually.
CHECK YOUR NETWORK
If updating the local graphics card drivers has not shown improvement, connect your device via Ethernet (if possible) to provide a stable connection or lower Shadow's Allocated Bandwidth via the launcher or Shadow Control Panel. Refer to our Quick Tips to Reduce Latency for more information about Allocated Bandwidth and network suggestions.
If your connection's download speeds are below 15Mb/s, consider enabling Low Bandwidth Mode (H265) via the launcher or Shadow Control Panel.
Note: H265 is only supported for most devices newer than 2014 or 2015. H265 allows for better data compression and will transfer the same data while using less bandwidth.
UPDATE SHADOW'S GRAPHICS DRIVERS
Lastly, update the NVIDIA graphics card on your Shadow. For Quadro P5000 graphics card drivers, search NVIDIA's drivers to download and install them manually, then enter the following information:
