After launching your Shadow, you may encounter this message as only one session of Shadow can run at a time. This guide will help you solve the problem easily.
If you encounter this message after an unwanted shutdown of your Shadow (rebooting, unplugging of your Ethernet cable or your computer, etc ...), then it's possible that the Shadow application is still running in the processes of your local device. This can happen even if it's not showing in your task bar or programs.
How to fix it
- Open the Task Manager by using Windows Search or by pressing the key combination [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [Delete].
- In the Process tab, close all Shadow processes. Both in Applications and Processes in the background.
- For added security, restart your computer and start the Shadow app.
