Use this guide if your games appear to have a low video/graphics frame rate when playing a game on Shadow. If your Shadow shows symptoms of latency or input delay, refer to our Quick Tips to Reduce Latency.
Update Shadow's Graphics Drivers
Driver updates provide bug fixes and enhance compatibility with newer applications, games, and software in general. See how to update NVIDIA drivers for Shadow.
Change Your In-Game Settings
If you notice low or dropped frames after updating your graphics card drivers on Shadow, try making the following changes through the in-game settings:
- Cap (or limit) your game's frame rate. The frame rate should match the refresh rate of your monitor and Shadow
- Disable V-Sync and triple buffering
- Run the game in a borderless window or windowed mode
- Lower the quality of graphic enhancements such as shadows, anti-aliasing, and post-processing
If your FPS is stable but lower than expected, remove the frame rate cap from your in-game settings.
